Norman Atha is a former enlisted Marine; 1976 – 1980. He was a full time 911 Paramedic, for 14 years, after undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin and taught Spanish 1 thru 4 for 19 years in two of Houston’s most challenged extreme title1 high schools. He earned his J.D. from the University of Houston’s evening program in 2005, clerking full time for 4 years in several of the city’s successful plaintiff’s wrongful injury/death firms. He retired from classroom teaching in 2022. He volunteers with the VMF Caucus to assist in tracking legislative proceedings impacting Veterans.
