Joshua Jones, a USAF veteran and Sandoval County Commissioner for District 5, is originally from Kentucky and moved to New Mexico in 2009. He received his B.A. from UNM with a concentration in entrepreneurship and is pursuing his MBA. From his time in the military Josh understands what it means to serve, and continues to do so to help his community and fellow veterans. He worked as a field representative for then Congresswoman and now Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland.
Imbued with his military core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all he does, Commissioner Jones maintains a strong presence in the community and government relations. Josh is a small business owner of a consulting firm specializing in clean energy to advocacy. He and his wife, Shavonne, have four children.
