2023-2024 Message from the Chair

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Happy New Year!

2023 was a banner year of accomplishments by your VMFC team working diligently to support all NM veterans and our families. 
  • Advocacy with our NM legislators, our US Congressional delegation and with citizens throughout the state. 
  • Educating people about veterans issues through our Guest Speaker Series, our monthly newsletter, and in-person meetings during our Road Trip.
  • Representing all veterans during our state-wide Outreach Program. We visited 24 of NM’s 33 counties and may hit the road again after the session.
What’s coming up in 2024?
  • Advocating during the NM legislative session – 16 January to 15 February.  See our legislative priorities below. 
  • Endorsing and Supporting candidates who win their primary races for the Nov 2024 election.
We are able to do this through the generous donation of time and talent of our dedicated volunteers and through the dues and donations of members to help us with our outreach. I encourage any of you who would like to become more active in the VMFC to reach out by replying to this email. Let’s have a conversation.
