Born in Germany where both parents were serving in the U.S. Army, Rick Moody grew up on military bases and in small towns across the US. Rick earned a BA at UNM and an MBA while living in the Netherlands. He worked overseas for 18 years as a contractor with the Defense Department and State Department before returning to New Mexico with his wife, Claudia Risner, Captain, U.S. Navy (Ret.)  He is an Executive Board member and volunteer with the East Mountain Food Pantry, volunteers with Volunteers for Immigrants in Detention – Albuquerque, is a board member of Honor Flight Northern New Mexico and a novelist.
