After 26 years in the U.S. Navy. Chris Sedillo returned to civilian life in Albuquerque, took numerous job-certification classes, became a primary caregiver for family members, ran for City Council, and bought a house where he plans to live for the rest of his life.

The Honor Guard Commander and Chaplain for American Legion Post 13, Chris is also a member of American Legion Riders.  He is a board member for the Honor Flight of Northern NM, a member of Veterans for Equal Rights (AVER) Bataan and National Chapters and member of the Knights of the Ascension, Ministry of Hope at Church of the Ascension.  Chris serves on the DPNM SCC, Westgate Neighborhood Association, United Veterans Council of Greater Albuquerque, Moose Lodge, Harley Davidson Owners Group, Trench Rats, and VMFC.
