Bob Carroll, a USMC Vietnam veteran, has lived in NM since 1993 with his wife, Leslie.  He and his wife, a former teacher, have been active in NM politics since 2008.

A U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam era Veteran, Bob Carroll, has lived in New Mexico since 1993. A lawyer, he specialized in energy law, particularly natural gas. He and his wife, Leslie Lawner, also a lawyer and former teacher, who is VMFC Secretary, have been active in NM politics since 2008.

Bob co-founded a renewable energy company, was active with The ARC of Roswell helping establish a therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities, and wrote the charter and served on the governing council of Sidney Gutierrez Middle School. He was a Chaves County representative to the DPNM SCC, and a CD2 Delegate to the 2020 DNC National Convention.  Since moving to Albuquerque in 2020, Bob has worked on behalf of Democratic candidates for Congress and State Representative and is former VMFC Vice Chair.
