If You Have A Story About Wait Times at VA Medical Centers, It’s Time to Tell it.

June 1, 2026

From VoteVets:

Over the last several months, the VetVoice Foundation analyzed wait times at VA Medical Centers. What they found was that wait times increased at 71% of them. Oncology, neurology, pulmonology, mental health and women’s health were among the hardest hit care specializations.

We’re Veterans. We use the VA. We know wait times have increased — we’ve experienced it ourselves, and so have our friends and family. We’re sure you have too, or at least people you know have. But this VetVoice study was the first of its kind, and it verified all of our anecdotal experiences with hard data.

Now that we can verify that this is happening, it’s time to put names and faces on these wait time increases. We are going to make the Trump Administration’s war on the VA an election issue — and Republicans who sat by and let Trump and Doug Collins gut the VA are going to lose their seats.

So, if you or someone you know have experienced any increased barriers to care at the VA, we want to hear about it. We’ve set up a tipline on the VoteVets website where you can share details, and anything you’d be willing to speak about would be incredibly helpful.

VMFC members who attend Veteran Service Organizations meetings are encouraged to inform your comrades about the VetVoice Foundation.

If you’re willing, please add your story about how Trump cuts to the VA have impacted your experience at the VA. This is really important, and we need to hear from you.

Tell Us Your Story

One final note: We won’t use any of your information without your permission. We know this is personal. But if you are willing to be a part of this, it will make a huge difference.
