Building a Coordinated Care Network for New Mexico Veterans

March 2, 2026

In 2022, two New Mexico Legislators, Senator Harold Pope and Representative Deborah Sariñana , both Caucus members, allocated funds for an assessment of New Mexico’s readiness to implement a statewide coordinate care network. Coordinated Care Networks connect Veterans to organizations providing a diverse array of services including food banks, shelters, health clinics employers and more, to create a “no wrong door” for people seeking help.

Leaders from the organization performing that assessment, Syracuse University’s D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families, are in New Mexico reporting on the first two phases of the project. They will be conducting three 90 minute virtual briefings open to the public on March 3, 5 & 11.
