


Upwards of 65,000 New Mexicans turned out at 29 No Kings Protests March 28th. The largest, Albuquerque, saw a crowd of around 50,000 but even Las Vegas and Gallup saw crowds of 200-300. There were 3,300 protests around the County and it is estimated that more than 8 million participated. Caucus Members Deb Haaland, candidate for Governor and Senator Harold Pope, Candidate for Lt. Governor attended the Albuquerque event, where Comms Committee Member Mark Finley staffed the water booth. Former Georgia State Legislator, and voting rights advocate Stacy Abrams spoke in Albuquerque which was also attended by Caucus Member Sonya Smith, candidate for NM Secretary of State. In Santa Fe, a principal speaker and first time No Kings participant was U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján.
