Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury has submitted her FY 2027 Community Project Funding Requests to the House Appropriations Committee totaling more than $144 million for 20 projects to support critical investments across New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District. Among those requests is $800,000 for the New Mexico Veterans Integration Center for a statewide Veterans Transportation Initiative to help veterans access medical care, benefits, and essential services, particularly in rural and underserved areas. 

Stansbury’s funding requests also include more than $11 million for affordable housing, homeless prevention, health care for the homeless, and a program to support home rehabilitation to keep residents in their homes.  All these programs improve access to housing and healthcare for Veterans as well as the broader community.  See the full list HERE
